Assistant / Associate Athletic Trainer
📍 Location: Staten Island, New York
🕒 Type: Full-time
💰 Salary: $50,000–$60,000
🏅 Institution: Wagner College (NCAA Division I – FCS)
🎯 Sport Assignments: Field Hockey & Softball

📋 Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletes on assigned teams
• Maintain athlete health records and documentation
• Cover practices and competitions (including travel, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Collaborate with team physicians and allied healthcare professionals
• Maintain ongoing communication with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes
• Assist with athletic training room upkeep and general operations
• Other duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer
• Maintain BOC certification, NY State licensure, and CPR/AED credentials

✅ Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) via Board of Certification (BOC)
• Eligible for or currently licensed in New York State
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

💼 Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
• 1–3 years post-certification experience
• Experience working in NCAA Athletics
• Additional certifications (e.g., IASTM, FMS)
