    About The Role

    Responsible for the Front Office operation including Front Desk, Concierge and Club Lounges

    Main Duties

    • Comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, including all departments, services and outlets
    • Oversee the weekly duty roster as well as monthly attendance sheet and annual vacation plan for Front Office colleagues
    • Oversee pending vacation and lieu days for the entire Front Office team
    • Handles booking out guests in case of an overbooking situation and act as the hotel’s Duty Manager
    • Must be thoroughly aware of emergency procedures and be able to handle such situations
    • Attend the daily shift briefings and assist in the daily operation, leading by example at all times
    • Constantly analyse business practices and identify opportunity for improvements, which result in an increase in revenue, guest satisfaction and/or cost saving
    • Demonstrate awareness of the departmental budget and assist to maximize room sales (especially selling high rates to walk-in guests).
    • Manage the monthly target-setting for the departmental upsell program
    • Assist the Front Office Manager in preparing the departmental budget
    • Be vigilant in regards to in-house credit matters and act upon any discrepancies
    • Sign late charge letters and ensure that all charges are justifies and sufficiently backed up.
    • Perform any additional duties as requested by the Front Office Manager and the Director of Rooms

    About You

    • Bachelor/ Master Degree in a given field
    • At least 3 years Assistant Front Office experience in a 5 star hotel with a minimum of 200 rooms
    • Fluency in written and spoken English
    • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of front office application
    • As per the Jumeirah Management competencies
    • Bachelor Degree/Master Degree from hotel school
    • Excellent Opera Knowledge (Front Office Applications)
    • As per the Jumeirah management competencies
