Senior Manager- Sales (Regional)

    • 1. Role Objective• To maximize revenue and profit generation in the assigned country/ countries.• Plan, prepare, design, implement and manage allotted regional sales operations of Oman Air.• Ensure Oman Air is always positioned as a high quality, unique and professional airline, whilst meeting all legal and governmental regulations.•Operation:• To develop and implement appropriate selling strategies to achieve corporate goals and services level pertaining to the assigned territory.• Plan the setup of new stations and look after the recruitment of necessary staff, setting up of office, GSA agreements as per the local station guidelines.• To lead, motivate, coach and develop sales teams to achieve targets.• To prepare the Marketing/ Business Plan and to allocate responsibilities for the attainment of marketing goals and services levels in designated countries.• Analyse, monitor and report on monthly revenue results, where necessary making recommendations to Country Managers, DSMs and SVP-Sales.• Monitor performance of marketing goals and services levels, taking remedy if any shortfalls in consultation with SVP-Sales.• Recommend on passenger fare and cargo rate structure to ensure high yield and to maximize the revenue.• Devise, implement, operate and maintain campaigns and other marketing devices to maximize the uplift.• To liaise closely with SVP-Sales in all aspects of medium and long-term corporate development.• Ensure active participation with SVP- Senior Vice President – Network Planning & Partnership and Senior Vice President – Revenue Management & Distribution to improve yields through close monitoring of forward bookings and inventory• Take immediate decisions in liaison with SVP-Sales to take care of any situation affecting the load factor/yield.• Liaise with different department i.e. Commercial/Direct Sales/Revenue Management/Marketing/FFP/E-Commerce to create new avenues for Revenue.• Provide HDQ assistance to all Country Managers/District Sales Managers and sales managers.• Identify new routes.•• Comply with financial policies of the company at all times• Strive to keep the cost of operations under control, without compromising on the quality of operations/image of the Airline• Set performance objectives for all staff• Motivate staff and reward the staff according to productivity.• Prepare career development program for staff.• Improve Oman Air s image through effective media advertisements, personal interactions and through any other industry accepted practice. In liaison with marketing communication Dept.• Responsible for compliance with all provisions of the local laws applicable and if necessary to meet government agencies/officials and sort out issues of operational importance.• Adhere to Company ethics and standards at all times.• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management as and when necessary.People Development:• Conduct performance review and discuss and ensure continuous improvement of members of the team.• Lead and guide team members by providing them with guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that they are developed for higher-level roles• Provide maximum support to drive Omanisation plans by helping in training of qualified Omani employees.
