The role covers NVOCC accounting, Principal/Agent statement-of-account reconciliation, shipping invoices, job costing, vessel and slot accounts, VAT-related accounting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting activities supporting shipping and logistics operations.
- Reconcile Principal/Agent statements of account and investigate discrepancies.
- Process shipping invoices, job costing and operational accounting entries.
- Maintain vessel- and slot-related accounts and supporting documentation.
- Support UAE VAT accounting and compliance activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports using Excel and accounting software.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting, reconciliation and documentation issues.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in NVOCC or shipping.
- Strong knowledge of Principal/Agent SOA reconciliation.
- Experience with shipping invoices, job costing and vessel/slot-related accounts.
- Good understanding of UAE VAT requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
