Accountant

The role covers NVOCC accounting, Principal/Agent statement-of-account reconciliation, shipping invoices, job costing, vessel and slot accounts, VAT-related accounting and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities supporting shipping and logistics operations.
• Reconcile Principal/Agent statements of account and investigate discrepancies.
• Process shipping invoices, job costing and operational accounting entries.
• Maintain vessel- and slot-related accounts and supporting documentation.
• Support UAE VAT accounting and compliance activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports using Excel and accounting software.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting, reconciliation and documentation issues.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in NVOCC or shipping.
• Strong knowledge of Principal/Agent SOA reconciliation.
• Experience with shipping invoices, job costing and vessel/slot-related accounts.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
