Accountant

A Dubai-based trading company is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join its office on-site. This role suits a finance professional who knows UAE accounting rules well and has experience handling financial activity in a trading environment — including import/export-related processes. You’ll help keep the books accurate, VAT and Corporate Tax compliant, and support the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Keep the company compliant with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax rules
• Process financial transactions tied to import/export operations
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Support monthly and annual financial closing
• Maintain clear accounting documentation and records
• Coordinate with other departments on finance matters
• Support audit and compliance needs
• Take on other finance and accounting tasks as needed

Requirements

• Relevant experience in accounting and finance
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Good understanding of Corporate Tax requirements
• Trading company experience is a plus
• Familiarity with import and export processes
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working within a team
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax compliance, and Zoho accounting software
