Job Description:
SPEC Energy DMCC, a global engineering and contracting firm in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Officer to join their Sharjah finance team. The role involves managing full-cycle accounting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting: journal entries, ledger maintenance, and month-end routines
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure adherence to company policies
• Assist with audit preparations and provide documentation/explanations to auditors
• Collaborate with departments to enforce financial controls and timely closing processes

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years practical accounting experience in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively within a team
