Accountant

FIVE ATELIER, a dynamic brand operating at the intersection of hospitality and premium interior design and fit-out, is seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Accountant to join its Dubai team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong UAE experience who wants to contribute to a fast-paced, creative business environment while maintaining the financial accuracy and discipline that underpins everything the brand does.

You’ll be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day accounting functions — from transaction processing and reconciliations to VAT compliance and financial reporting. Immediate joiners who are currently based in the UAE and ready to hit the ground running are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all daily accounting transactions are processed correctly and promptly.
• Prepare regular financial reports, management summaries, and account reconciliation schedules for internal review.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including accurate recording of VAT transactions and timely support for VAT filing activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and reports are submitted within agreed deadlines.
• Record, verify, and reconcile financial data with a high standard of accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
• Utilise accounting software and Microsoft Excel to maintain, analyse, and present financial information as required.
• Provide effective administrative accounting support to the finance team, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience gained within the UAE — this is a mandatory requirement.
• Currently based in the United Arab Emirates and available to join immediately.
• Solid understanding of UAE accounting principles, VAT regulations, account reconciliations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational abilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
