Job Overview
Happy Travel is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its finance and accounting activities from its Dubai office. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is an office-based position that combines strategic financial oversight with hands-on operational management. The successful candidate will lead the accounting team, oversee financial statements and reporting, manage receivables, payables and cash flow, and maintain effective financial controls. The role also involves working with the IT team to improve accounting automation and make financial workflows more efficient. Candidates should have a professional accounting qualification and previous UAE experience in an accounting management or senior accounting role. Hands-on Zoho Books experience and advanced Excel skills are required. The estimated salary is AED 18,000 to AED 28,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide and develop the accounting team and monitor the quality of its work.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, management reports and periodic accounts.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash-flow activities.
- Maintain financial controls and support compliance with tax requirements and audit procedures.
- Work with the IT team to improve accounting automation and streamline finance workflows.
- Coordinate with other departments to strengthen financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Support sound financial governance and provide management with reliable financial information.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a professional accounting qualification.
- Have UAE accounting management or senior accounting experience.
- Have practical, hands-on experience with Zoho Books.
- Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Show strong leadership, communication and commercial awareness.
- Experience in B2B wholesale travel or travel technology is preferred.
Skills and Employment Details
The position requires knowledge of financial reporting, accounting operations, taxation, audit processes and internal controls. Advanced Excel, Zoho Books and an interest in accounting-process automation are important, alongside the ability to lead a team and communicate financial information clearly.
