Job Overview
Stars General Contracting Co. LLC is seeking a Civil Draftsman to prepare civil and infrastructure drawings for construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves producing detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, as-built documentation, and project layouts using AutoCAD. The draftsman will coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams and update drawings to reflect design comments and actual site modifications. Accuracy, revision control, and the ability to work to project deadlines are important. Candidates should have a civil drafting qualification and several years of construction experience. Knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage, while UAE construction experience is preferred.
Employment: Full Time. Experience: 3–5+ years of civil drafting experience in construction; Diploma or certificate in Civil Drafting or Engineering. Salary: AED 5,000–8,000 per month (estimated).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate civil and infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and detailed layouts to support construction activities.
- Update drawings in response to engineers’ markups, approved revisions, and site changes.
- Maintain drawing registers and apply revision control so current documents can be identified.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to confirm drawing requirements.
- Check dimensions, annotations, and drawing details for consistency before issuing updates.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Three to five or more years of civil drafting experience in the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Civil 3D knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- UAE construction experience is preferred.
Skills and Additional Information
Relevant knowledge includes civil drafting, infrastructure drawing preparation, shop drawings, as-built documentation, and AutoCAD-based drafting processes. The successful candidate should be able to interpret technical comments, organise drawing files, and work closely with site and engineering personnel. This is a full-time Abu Dhabi position with an estimated salary range of AED 5,000–8,000.
