A growing construction and civil engineering organization in the UAE is looking for a skilled General Accountant to support its expanding operations. This role suits an experienced accounting professional who can manage the full accounting cycle independently while keeping financial reporting accurate and compliant with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations
- Process supplier payments and prepare customer invoices accurately and on time
- Coordinate with external auditors and maintain accurate financial records
- Support broader financial operations as the organization continues to grow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and ERP/accounting systems
- Able to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French are an advantage
