Al Sakan Group is seeking an experienced General Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of its rental equipment business in the UAE. A good fit for accounting professionals with strong financial management skills and experience handling accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and bookkeeping in a fast-paced business environment.
You’ll maintain accurate financial records, monitor outstanding balances, process payments, manage bank reconciliations, and support overall accounting operations. Prior UAE experience, particularly within rental equipment or a similar sector, will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage sales invoices and delivery orders (DO)
- Monitor rental periods and ensure accurate billing
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Process customer payments and issue receipts
- Maintain petty cash records and daily bookkeeping entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions
- Handle post-dated checks (PDC) and maintain proper records
- Reconcile supplier statements and process supplier payments
- Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE
- Rental equipment industry or similar business experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
