Job Overview
A Dubai-based employer is seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily finance activities and maintain reliable accounting records. The role is suitable for a detail-oriented accounting professional with some UAE experience who can process transactions, help with collections, manage petty cash, and support routine reporting. The successful candidate will follow accounting procedures, keep documentation organized, and meet deadlines while working with colleagues on outstanding items. Experience with Odoo accounting software is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post accounting transactions accurately from initial entry through the appropriate ledger.
- Maintain financial records and supporting documents for day-to-day accounting operations.
- Manage petty cash transactions and process employee expense reimbursements in line with policy.
- Follow up with customers or internal teams on collections and outstanding balances.
- Track and administer post-dated cheques (PDCs) for tenants and keep records current.
- Assist with accounting schedules, financial reporting, and the preparation of routine documentation.
- Follow applicable accounting principles and company procedures while meeting daily and monthly deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- One to two years of UAE accounting experience is expected.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and VAT requirements is important.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software are required.
- Experience with Odoo accounting software is preferred.
- Candidates should be accurate, organized, analytical, and able to manage tasks independently.

Employment Details
Employment type: Full Time. Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience in the UAE. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Compensation: AED 4,000 per month, plus company car and petrol.
