Position Overview
Senior Accountant opportunity based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This full-time opportunity is suited to a professional who can bring dependable execution, sound judgement, clear communication, and a practical approach to daily responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to team objectives, maintain professional standards, and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries, month-end closing, and financial reporting activities.
- Reconcile bank, branch, and intercompany accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor receivables, payables, cash flow, and supporting financial schedules.
- Support VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, audits, and internal control reviews.
- Maintain reliable ERP records and provide timely financial information to management.
Requirements and Skills
- Relevant experience: Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior-level duties.
- Education: M.Com or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively, and maintain accurate records.
- Professional conduct, attention to detail, and willingness to follow established procedures.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements is expected.
- ERP proficiency and advanced Excel skills are advantageous; professional accounting certifications are a plus.
