Job Overview
ABC Cargo UAE is recruiting a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting operations and produce dependable financial information for the business. The role covers ledger control, reconciliations, month-end close, cash-flow reporting, and tax-related support. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating records for internal management and external auditors. Experience in cargo, courier, logistics, or transportation operations is an advantage.
Success requires accuracy, clear communication, reliable follow-through, and consistent adherence to workplace procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries, month-end closing activities, and periodic financial reporting.
- Complete bank, branch, and intercompany reconciliations and investigate outstanding differences.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collection tracking, and related reporting.
- Prepare cash-flow updates, budget information, and variance analyses for management review.
- Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance by maintaining organized financial documentation.
- Coordinate audit requests and uphold accurate ERP records and internal accounting controls.
Requirements
- Have at least five years of UAE accounting experience, including a senior or equivalent role.
- Hold an M.Com or higher qualification in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
- Understand accounting principles, financial reporting, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Use ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel confidently.
- Show strong reconciliation, analytical, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
- Logistics, courier, or transportation-sector experience is beneficial; CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is an added advantage.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualification: M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Experience: Minimum 5 Years.
Relevant skills include General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Bank Reconciliation, Intercompany Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, ERP, Excel. Candidates should be ready to explain relevant experience and how they maintain quality and accuracy.
Employment Details
Employment type: Full-time. Company: ABC Cargo UAE. Location: United Arab Emirates. Compensation: AED 10,000–AED 15,000 per month, estimated.
This is a full-time role with responsibility for accurate reporting and compliance across accounting activities.
