Job Overview
XAD Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong focus on payroll management and accounting operations. Based in Dubai, the role involves processing payroll accurately, maintaining compliance with UAE Labour Law and WPS requirements, preparing employee settlements, and coordinating with HR. The successful candidate will also review work completed by junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll activities and verify employee attendance, overtime, leave, allowances, and deductions.
- Ensure payroll processing follows UAE Labour Law and Wage Protection System requirements.
- Calculate gratuity, leave salary, and final settlements for departing employees.
- Complete payroll accounting entries and perform the required reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate salary and employee records.
- Coordinate with HR to resolve payroll issues and provide documentation for audits.
- Supervise junior accounting staff, review their work, and protect confidential payroll information.
Requirements and Qualifications
- M.Com, CMA, or CA Inter qualification is required.
- Two to four years of payroll and accounting experience is expected.
- Experience handling payroll for multiple companies is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, WPS, and gratuity calculations is important.
- Previous experience supervising junior staff members is expected.
Key Skills
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as SAP, Tally, or QuickBooks. Strong numerical and analytical ability, communication, coordination, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are important for this role.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position in Dubai with a stated monthly salary of AED 4,500. The employer is XAD Group of Companies. Applicants should have the stated qualification and two to four years of relevant experience.
