A reputable Abu Dhabi organization is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its finance team, someone comfortable with financial reporting, VAT compliance and the daily rhythm of UAE accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations and keep bookkeeping records accurate
- Prepare and submit VAT returns per UAE FTA regulations
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
- Handle accounts payable, receivable and petty cash
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT rules and internal policy
- Support internal and external audits
- Coordinate with banks and take on other accounting duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, UAE experience preferred
- Solid grasp of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
- Comfortable with Excel and ERP software; Odoo experience a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Immediate joiners or short notice candidates preferred
