A business operating across the UAE and Turkey is seeking an Accountant to support its finance, audit and tax activities in both markets. The role offers cross-border exposure and requires regular travel to Turkey, with travel expenses covered. The ideal candidate combines practical UAE accounting experience with strong language skills and a sound understanding of tax compliance.
Job Overview
The accountant will handle routine finance operations, reporting, audit coordination and tax-related work while working with colleagues and advisers in both countries. The position requires fluency in Arabic and Turkish as well as strong English communication. Immediate joiners and candidates with a notice period of up to one month are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting work, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and month-end closing.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and analyses to support business review and financial decisions.
- Assist with internal audit work and coordinate information requests and documentation with external auditors.
- Work with the Turkey finance team and external tax advisers on cross-border accounting, reporting and taxation matters.
- Travel regularly to Turkey to support local finance operations and other business requirements, with travel expenses covered.
- Maintain compliance with applicable UAE accounting requirements, VAT rules and Corporate Tax regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Three to four years of accounting experience in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE.
- Previous internal or external audit experience and hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Fluency in Arabic and Turkish is mandatory, together with strong English communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Turkey for business requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CMA, CPA or a comparable professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience with the Turkish tax system or accounting practices is an advantage. Familiarity with Zoho, Odoo, SAP, Tally or similar ERP systems is desirable.
Skills
Candidates should be comfortable with bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, tax compliance and ERP-based accounting. Clear communication across different teams, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage work across two markets are important.
Employment Details
This is a full-time accounting position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with frequent travel to Turkey. The estimated salary is AED 10,000–15,000 per month, and travel expenses are covered. Candidates should be ready to join immediately or within a notice period of up to one month.
