Job Overview
A multinational publicly listed business is seeking an Accountant in Dubai, with recruitment support from AVK Global. The role offers exposure to several core accounting functions and is suited to an experienced finance professional, particularly someone familiar with trading-company operations. The successful candidate will keep records accurate, support reconciliations and reporting, and be willing to work across accounting areas on a rotational basis when business requirements call for it.
The role calls for solid accounting fundamentals and the ability to move between transaction processing, record maintenance, and reporting without losing accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle transactions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Cash and Bank accounts.
- Maintain orderly accounting records and complete day-to-day finance tasks accurately.
- Prepare and review supporting schedules, reports, and reconciliation documents.
- Use accounting and office software to record transactions and manage financial information.
- Support different accounting functions as assigned and help keep routine activities on schedule.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant colleagues to support accurate reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Five to six years of relevant accounting experience is required.
- Experience in a trading company is preferred.
- A semi-qualified CA or CMA, M.Com, or MBA in Finance is required as listed for the role.
- Candidates should understand AP, AR, General Ledger, fixed assets, and cash and bank accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Tally, and ERP accounting systems is required.
- Applicants should be adaptable and willing to rotate between different accounting responsibilities.
