Highland AE is expanding its audit practice in Barsha Heights, Dubai, and is searching for a talented Audit Semi Senior to join a forward-thinking team focused on UK-based client portfolios. You’ll be working alongside experienced Managers and Partners on a diverse portfolio of clients, gaining valuable insight into UK audit standards and international financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and finalise audit assignments from start to finish, working closely with Managers and Partners at each stage of the engagement.
• Deliver consistently high-quality audit work that meets professional standards and client expectations, maintaining clear and thorough documentation throughout.
• Respond to review comments promptly and thoroughly, ensuring all points are addressed before sign-off.
• Apply rigorous audit procedures to assess the accuracy and compliance of financial statements with applicable standards.
• Proactively identify potential audit risks, document findings clearly, and propose practical solutions in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, demonstrating professionalism and commercial awareness at all times.
• Contribute positively to the team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge where appropriate.

Requirements & Skills:

• CA/ACCA qualification or an internationally recognised equivalent — this is non-negotiable.
• Solid technical understanding of audit procedures, risk-based auditing, financial reporting, and accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
• Prior audit experience in a professional services environment is required.
• Experience with a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm is highly preferred and will fast-track your application.
• Familiarity with audit software tools is beneficial.
