OurShopee is inviting applications for the Category Manager – UAE Procurement & Buying position in UAE (On-site). The opportunity is designed for professionals who can apply practical expertise in e-commerce / retail / procurement while maintaining dependable standards in day-to-day work.
The role focuses on category strategy; local procurement; brands/distributors/wholesalers; consumer electronics, mobiles, home appliances, health & beauty. The successful candidate will work in a professional environment where accuracy, communication and consistent execution are important. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can take ownership of assigned responsibilities and work effectively with colleagues.

Core Duties
- Develop category plans designed to improve sales, margin, profitability and overall commercial performance.
- Lead UAE buying and procurement activity, including supplier discovery, evaluation and commercial negotiations.
- Build strong working relationships with brands, distributors, wholesalers and other strategic vendors.
- Use category, pricing and inventory information to identify growth opportunities and manage assortment decisions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align purchasing activity with customer demand and business objectives.
Ideal Candidate
The position calls for 8–12+ years of UAE/GCC experience across category management, buying, procurement, e-commerce or retail. Strong local supplier relationships and commercial knowledge in consumer electronics, mobiles, home appliances and/or health and beauty categories are especially relevant.
Working Focus
This position can directly influence category competitiveness by combining supplier relationships with disciplined buying decisions. Commercial judgement, market awareness and strong negotiation will be important when balancing availability, pricing, margin and customer demand.
