Chief Accountant

A well-established, high-end catering company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to take ownership of its finance and accounting function. This role suits a seasoned finance professional who has spent time in catering, hospitality, restaurants, hotels or food production, and who is ready to lead financial operations for a business with real operational complexity.

You’ll be responsible for keeping the books accurate, staying compliant with UAE financial regulations, and supporting broader financial planning as the business continues to grow. Candidates already based in the UAE who can join on short notice will be given priority.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring financial reporting is accurate and timely
• Managing cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT, payroll and WPS requirements
• Coordinating with external auditors and financial institutions during audits and reviews
• Designing and monitoring internal financial controls that support the business day to day

What we’re looking for

• 5–8 years of accounting or finance experience
• Background in catering, hospitality, restaurants, hotels or food production strongly preferred
• Strong grasp of UAE accounting practices, VAT, WPS, payroll and financial reporting
• Confident with cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting
• Strong internal controls knowledge along with leadership and analytical ability
