Job Description
A reputed healthcare clinic operating in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is seeking a qualified and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join its growing mental health team. This opportunity is ideal for experienced mental health professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care and supporting patients through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
The clinic is seeking an Arabic-speaking or Western-trained Clinical Psychologist who can effectively assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychological and emotional conditions while maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Psychological Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical evaluations
- Perform diagnostic interviews and behavioral assessments
- Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools and standardized testing methods
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and clinical recommendations
Diagnosis & Case Formulation
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions and psychological disorders
- Develop comprehensive case formulations based on clinical findings
- Identify contributing psychological, social, and environmental factors
- Establish treatment priorities and intervention strategies
Treatment Planning
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Establish measurable therapeutic objectives and treatment outcomes
- Review and modify treatment plans based on patient progress
- Ensure treatment approaches align with evidence-based practices
Therapy & Counseling Services
- Provide evidence-based psychological therapies and counseling services
- Deliver individual psychotherapy sessions
- Facilitate group therapy programs where applicable
- Support patients in managing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges
- Promote coping strategies, resilience, and long-term wellbeing
Patient Monitoring & Progress Evaluation
- Monitor patient progress throughout the treatment process
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and therapeutic outcomes
- Adjust interventions and treatment approaches when necessary
- Maintain regular follow-up and continuity of care
Clinical Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Complete clinical notes, treatment summaries, and assessment reports
- Ensure documentation complies with healthcare and regulatory standards
- Maintain professional records in accordance with clinic policies
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, counselors, and allied healthcare professionals
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning
- Coordinate care to ensure comprehensive patient support
- Contribute to integrated mental health service delivery
Professional Compliance & Ethics
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice
- Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and healthcare requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and informed consent procedures
- Participate in professional development and continuing education activities

Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
Licensing Requirements
- Eligibility for Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi licensing is mandatory
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of Clinical Psychology experience
- UAE healthcare experience preferred
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and mental health conditions
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Arabic-speaking Clinical Psychologist preferred
- Western-trained Clinical Psychologist preferred
