Job Overview
An experienced Data Center Engineer is required in Riyadh to support day-to-day operation of critical infrastructure. The role focuses on server, storage, and network hardware installation, physical infrastructure maintenance, cabling, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle activities. The successful candidate will work with technical teams, suppliers, and contractors to complete deployments and scheduled maintenance while keeping asset records and operational documentation accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server, storage, and networking hardware within data center racks.
- Carry out racking and stacking, hardware replacement, equipment relocation, decommissioning, and upgrade tasks.
- Manage copper and fibre-optic cabling activities, including patching, labelling, and coordination of terminations.
- Troubleshoot hardware faults, connectivity problems, and physical infrastructure issues in a structured manner.
- Support moves, adds, and changes while keeping equipment inventories and location records up to date.
- Assist with planned maintenance, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure deployment projects.
- Coordinate onsite work with vendors, contractors, and technical support teams and prepare maintenance reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least four years of experience in data center infrastructure operations or hardware support.
- A relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, computer engineering, networking, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience installing server, storage, and network equipment, including rack installation.
- Knowledge of rack layouts, structured cabling, copper and fibre connections, and equipment connectivity.
- Familiarity with incident management, service requests, and change-management procedures.
- Knowledge of power distribution, UPS systems, cooling, and environmental monitoring is preferred; ITIL or ITSM experience is an advantage.
Skills
Practical hardware troubleshooting, methodical fault isolation, clear technical documentation, and good coordination skills are important.

Employment type: Full-time. Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Experience: Minimum 4 years. Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Networking, or a related field. Salary: SAR 8,000–12,000 per month (estimated).
