Job Overview
A professional services firm in Riyadh is seeking an experienced External Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements and review financial documentation. The position involves planning assignments, reviewing working papers and financial statements, guiding audit teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. Candidates with extensive audit-firm experience, knowledge of IFRS and ISA, and bilingual communication skills are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise external audit engagements from initial planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, review, and completion.
- Review working papers, financial statements, supporting schedules, and audit evidence for accuracy and compliance.
- Guide team members, allocate work, monitor progress, and support professional development during audit assignments.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify findings, and maintain productive working relationships.
- Ensure audit procedures follow International Standards on Auditing and that reporting reflects applicable financial reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internally to resolve review points and deliver high-quality audit outputs within agreed deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Have at least seven years of progressive external audit experience in a recognised audit firm.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject.
- Have strong working knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing.
- Demonstrate experience supervising engagements and reviewing working papers and financial statements.
- Experience with a Big Four audit firm is highly preferred.
- SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage; Arabic and English communication skills are required.
