Food Safety Officer

Al Med Retail is looking for a certified Food Safety Officer to help protect and elevate its food safety standards across the UAE. If you’re the kind of person who takes HACCP seriously, enjoys the detail work of audits and documentation, and wants a role where compliance genuinely matters to the end customer, this one’s worth a look.

You’ll be the frontline check on whether products, processes, and facilities line up with UAE food safety law, municipality rules, and internationally recognised quality frameworks — flagging issues before they become problems and helping teams fix them fast when they do.

What you’ll be doing:

• Making sure operations comply with UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
• Monitoring production processes against HACCP and quality benchmarks.
• Running food safety inspections and flagging areas that need attention.
• Supporting audits and helping maintain ISO 22000 compliance.
• Keeping food safety records and documentation accurate and current.
• Coordinating corrective and preventive actions to stay on the right side of regulations.
• Championing food safety awareness and best practice across the wider team.

What we’re looking for:

• 2-5 years in Food Safety or Quality Assurance within F&B, hospitality, catering, or food manufacturing.
• HACCP Level 3/4 certification — mandatory.
• ISO 22000 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification — preferred.
• Dubai or Abu Dhabi Municipality Food Safety Training Certificate, or equivalent, preferred.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus.
• A valid UAE driving licence is helpful for multi-site visits.
• Willingness to flex your hours during peak production or service periods.
