General Accountant

A leading FMCG and General Trade company in the UAE is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented General Accountant to join its Dubai finance team and help drive financial accuracy and compliance in a fast-moving commercial environment.

You’ll manage core accounting functions — from AP/AR and VAT compliance to financial reporting — with a preference for candidates who have prior FMCG or general trade experience.

What you’ll do:

• Manage daily accounting operations and keep financial records accurate and current
• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
• Prepare and maintain financial transaction reports and supporting documentation
• Process and monitor import and export documentation linked to financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company financial policies
• Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting

What you’ll bring:

• 3–6 years of accounting experience
• Previous FMCG or General Trade industry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with import/export documentation and financial transaction reporting
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (mandatory)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills
