Job Overview
Trolley is seeking a GL Finance Accountant to join its finance team in Riyadh. This full-time opportunity is intended for an accounting professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and previous experience in the retail or FMCG sector. The position focuses on general ledger accuracy, journal entries, account reconciliations and financial closing activities. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and a valid SOCPA registration are mandatory.
The accountant will help maintain complete and reliable financial records and support the finance team during monthly and annual close periods. The role requires a good understanding of accounting controls and the ability to investigate differences between ledger balances and supporting records. Experience in a retail or FMCG environment is important because the position requires familiarity with the financial operations of those sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger accounts and complete regular reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries in line with accounting requirements.
- Review account balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and comply with internal procedures.
- Assist with financial reporting and related accounting work as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required.
- Previous experience in retail or FMCG is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA is mandatory.
- A valid SOCPA registration is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries is required.
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial closing procedures is expected.
- Saudi candidates are preferred.
- Strong numerical accuracy, organization and attention to detail are important.
