La Verne Diamond is hiring a Junior Accountant for its finance team, and this one’s especially well suited to accountants who’ve already spent time in the Gold & Diamond Jewellery trade. Between inventory nuances, gold and diamond accounting practices, and VAT compliance, this industry has its own rhythm — and prior exposure to it will help you hit the ground running.
Day to day, you’ll be keeping financial records precise, tracking inventory-related transactions, and making sure everything lines up with UAE accounting and VAT requirements. Candidates already based in the UAE are especially encouraged to apply.
What you’ll be doing:
- Handling daily accounting transactions and maintaining financial records
- Processing purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and ledger entries
- Monitoring jewellery inventory and carrying out stock reconciliations
- Supporting gold and diamond-specific accounting activities
- Keeping accounting documentation and reports accurate and current
- Assisting with VAT-related accounting tasks and compliance
- Double-checking financial records and transactions for accuracy
What you’ll bring:
- At least 2 years of accounting experience in the Gold & Diamond Jewellery industry
- Familiarity with jewellery inventory management and stock reconciliation
- Experience across purchases, sales, payments, receipts, and ledger entries
- An understanding of gold and diamond accounting practices
- Current availability in the UAE is preferred
- Fluency in Hindi and English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort with MS Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems
