Al Shumookh Group
Al Shumookh Group is growing its Business Bay finance function and needs a motivated, detail-driven Accountant to help keep the wheels turning. This is a good fit for someone who’s comfortable owning the full cycle of day-to-day accounting — from invoicing through to reconciliation — and who’s picked up solid experience with Tally along the way.
You’ll be handling both payables and receivables, preparing financial documents, and pitching in on VAT-related work, all while coordinating with a mix of suppliers, customers, banks, and internal teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing daily accounting transactions and keeping financial records airtight
- Handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Preparing invoices, receipts, payments, and financial reports
- Carrying out bank and account reconciliations
- Keeping accounting documentation organized and audit-ready
- Supporting VAT compliance and related accounting tasks
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, banks, and colleagues across departments
What you’ll bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with Tally ERP or Tally Prime
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- A solid understanding of core accounting principles
- Background in invoicing, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and VAT
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- UAE experience is an advantage
- Fluency in Arabic and English
