Job Overview
Deraah is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join its Data Platform team in Riyadh. This full-time opportunity is suitable for an early-career candidate who wants to develop practical experience in data pipelines, data platforms, data warehousing, and analytics. The estimated monthly salary is SAR 7,000–10,000. Candidates should have zero to two years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Applicants should be strong in SQL and have basic Python knowledge, along with an understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data quality, and Git. Knowledge of tools such as dbt, Airflow, ClickHouse, Kafka, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or Odoo is an advantage. Native Arabic speakers are sought. Candidates already residing in Saudi Arabia are preferred, and immediate joiners or those with a notice period of up to two weeks are encouraged. Iqama transfer is available for suitable applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.
- Assist with data warehousing, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics tasks.
- Work with teams to improve data quality and reporting reliability.
- Help develop scalable data solutions using modern engineering tools.
- Support performance improvements for data platforms and business intelligence processes.
- Document pipeline behaviour and assist with troubleshooting data issues.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant computing, information systems, or engineering discipline.
- Zero to two years of related experience.
- Strong SQL and basic Python knowledge.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, Git, and data quality practices.
- Arabic fluency at native-speaker level is required in the listing.
- Relevant certifications such as DP-600 or DP-700 are an advantage.
