Job Overview
West Zone is seeking a Junior Quality Controller to support food safety, hygiene, and quality standards across retail locations in Dubai. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline and up to two years of relevant experience. The role involves inspections, recordkeeping, identifying non-compliance, and coordinating corrective actions with store teams. The stated eligibility criteria specify male candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine food safety, hygiene, and quality inspections at retail stores.
- Check product expiry dates, storage conditions, temperature controls, cleaning practices, and food-handling procedures.
- Identify potential quality or hygiene concerns and communicate findings to the relevant store personnel.
- Follow up on corrective actions and help ensure issues are addressed appropriately.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare basic reports documenting observations and compliance status.
- Support implementation of HACCP principles and applicable UAE food safety requirements.
- Coordinate with store teams to reinforce safe handling, sanitation, and storage practices.
- Help maintain consistent standards by reporting recurring issues and supporting process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Zero to two years of experience in food safety or quality control.
- Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Good observation, communication, and inspection skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records and follow established procedures.
- Experience in retail or the food industry is an advantage.
