Job Overview
West Zone is hiring a motivated Junior Quality Controller in Dubai. The role is well suited to candidates beginning a career in food safety and quality control who understand hygiene standards, inspection procedures and safe food practices.
You will inspect retail locations, monitor food handling, support compliance with UAE food safety requirements and help raise standards across stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out food safety, hygiene and quality inspections across retail locations
- Check temperature controls, expiry dates, storage conditions, cleaning practices and handling procedures
- Identify quality issues and non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions
- Maintain inspection records and prepare basic quality reports
- Support HACCP implementation and UAE food safety compliance
- Work with store teams to improve food safety practices
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related field
- 0 to 2 years of experience in food safety or quality control
- Retail or food industry experience is an advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards
- Knowledge of food hygiene and inspection procedures
- Awareness of retail food operations and compliance requirements
- Good communication and observation skills
