A well-established MEP contracting company is expanding its drafting team across Abu Dhabi and Dubai and is looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman. If you’re skilled at turning design intent into precise, buildable drawings and enjoy being close to live construction projects, this role offers plenty of hands-on variety.
You’ll produce detailed shop drawings, coordinate mechanical services across trades, and help ensure the final as-built documentation matches what’s actually installed on site. Prior GCC project exposure and solid HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting knowledge will serve you well here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
- Developing HVAC drawings covering ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, and ventilation
- Producing plumbing and firefighting drawings as needed
- Coordinating mechanical services with architectural, structural, and electrical teams
- Reviewing IFC/design drawings and incorporating consultant feedback
- Preparing submission-ready drawings for consultants and clients
- Working with site engineers and supervisors to support installation needs
- Producing accurate as-built drawings once installation is complete
- Spotting and resolving MEP coordination and clash issues
- Keeping drawing revisions and submission records up to date
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma, ITI, or Certificate in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years in MEP contracting or construction
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Revit MEP/BIM knowledge is a plus
- Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
- Comfortable interpreting IFC, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- UAE/GCC project experience preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and attention to detail
