Job Overview
An infrastructure project team in Dubai is seeking a senior Planning Manager with extensive experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE. This full-time role focuses on developing and maintaining project schedules, measuring progress, forecasting potential delays, and coordinating recovery actions to support successful project delivery. Contractor-side experience is preferred, particularly on major infrastructure and RTA-related projects. The estimated monthly salary is AED 30,000–45,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and scheduling activities for roads and infrastructure works.
- Develop, document, and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
- Review project progress against planned milestones and prepare regular planning reports for management and project teams.
- Update schedules with current site information and identify slippage, dependencies, and critical-path concerns.
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare practical recovery programmes when performance falls behind plan.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, commercial, and project management teams to validate progress and schedule assumptions.
- Support milestone planning and help teams understand the schedule impact of changes and constraints.
- Present planning information clearly to support informed decisions and timely corrective action.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least 15 years of professional planning experience.
- Strong background in roads and infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates.
- Contractor-side project experience is preferred.
- Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6 and project scheduling principles.
- Experience developing baseline programmes, schedule updates, progress reports, delay analysis, and recovery schedules.
- Understanding of project milestones, critical paths, progress measurement, and coordination across project disciplines.
- UAE experience on major infrastructure and RTA projects is highly preferred.
Skills and Work Environment
The successful candidate should be analytical, detail-focused, and confident coordinating with senior project stakeholders. Strong reporting, planning judgement, and the ability to identify schedule risks early are essential. This role supports complex infrastructure delivery and requires a disciplined approach to schedule control, progress assessment, and recovery planning.
