Job Overview

Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting processes within a maritime environment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, VAT compliance, and multi-entity accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and profit & loss statements with variance analysis
• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple currencies
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Manage vessel-related accounting such as voyage costs and charter revenues
• Oversee VAT preparation, filing, and audit support
• Prepare audit schedules for internal and external audits
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• ACCA, CPA, or CA certification preferred
• 5–8 years of experience, preferably in maritime or shipping sector
• Strong experience in month-end closing and financial reporting
• Mandatory experience in VAT preparation and filing
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments
• Good understanding of IFRS standards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
