An employer in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The opportunity is intended for an accounting professional with solid UAE experience who can maintain reliable financial records, prepare reports and manage routine finance operations with accuracy.
Job Overview
The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting work, prepare financial statements and reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closing. The role also includes audit support and monitoring of financial transactions. Applicants must currently be based in the UAE, and immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports and account reconciliations within the required reporting timelines.
- Follow applicable accounting standards and company financial policies when recording and reviewing transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and help ensure that accounts are completed on schedule.
- Support audit requirements by preparing and providing financial records and supporting documentation when requested.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify opportunities to strengthen accounting procedures and record accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A B Com or M Com qualification.
- At least five years of relevant accounting experience in the United Arab Emirates.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Applicants must currently be based in the UAE.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
- Good analytical, organizational and communication skills, with familiarity in general ledger work and financial statements.

The position calls for financial reporting, ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, closing support and audit documentation. The successful candidate should be accurate, organized and able to manage deadlines while maintaining compliance with internal procedures.
Employment Details
This is a full-time accounting position based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The salary is up to AED 7,000 per month. Applicants should hold a B Com or M Com and have at least five years of UAE accounting experience. Current UAE residence and immediate availability are preferred requirements.
