Senior Accountant

Mai Al Darmaki Companies Management is seeking an accomplished Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations across multiple entities from its Abu Dhabi office. This role demands deep expertise in UAE regulatory frameworks and accounting standards.

You will own the full accounting cycle, drive accurate financial reporting, and serve as a key liaison with auditors and senior leadership to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end accounting processes across a portfolio of companies
• Produce timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Execute bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
• Ensure full UAE VAT compliance and manage all tax-related filings
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries
• Coordinate external audits and engage with regulatory authorities as required
• Partner with management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis
• Streamline accounting systems and continuously improve financial workflows

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity management
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
• Professional credentials such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are highly regarded
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal capabilities
• Hands-on proficiency with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Odoo, Tally, SAP, or comparable ERP platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and complex financial formulas
