Job Overview
The Senior Scaffolding Design Engineer will develop safe and practical temporary-works solutions for construction projects, preparing technical designs and calculations that support site execution. The position requires strong structural engineering fundamentals, experience with scaffolding systems, and the ability to coordinate with project and site teams. Design accuracy, compliance with applicable standards, and clear technical documentation are essential to the role. The role requires professional communication, teamwork, and consistent attention to quality, safety, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare scaffolding design drawings, calculation reports, and material schedules.
- Perform structural calculations and check designs against relevant engineering standards.
- Review temporary-works requirements and recommend safe, practical scaffolding solutions.
- Coordinate with construction teams and site personnel during planning and execution.
- Prepare technical reports and clarify design requirements when issues arise.
- Support project delivery by maintaining design quality and safety compliance.
Requirements and Skills
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least five years of scaffolding design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and structural analysis software.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Knowledge of scaffolding systems, temporary works, and structural calculations.
- UAE/GCC project experience and strong site coordination skills are preferred.
