Job Overview
The Technical Manager will provide senior engineering leadership for major civil infrastructure works, including roads, highways, underpasses, and utility networks. The role requires oversight of technical submissions, design reviews, authority coordination, and engineering problem-solving throughout project delivery. The successful candidate will work with consultants, project teams, and government stakeholders to ensure solutions meet specifications, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements. The role requires professional communication, teamwork, and consistent attention to quality, safety, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical activities for major road, highway, underpass, and infrastructure projects.
- Review designs, specifications, submissions, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, project teams, and authorities to resolve technical matters.
- Guide project planning and execution through timely engineering decisions.
- Manage design reviews, technical approvals, and coordination across project stages.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality systems, and applicable standards.
Requirements and Skills
- At least 16 years of civil infrastructure experience.
- Minimum five years in a Technical Manager or Engineering Manager role on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong UAE experience with roads, highways, underpasses, and utility networks.
- Experience dealing with Dubai Municipality, RTA, or similar authorities.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM tools, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
