Senior Structural Engineer

Tawzif is urgently recruiting an experienced Senior Structural Engineer for a prestigious project in Abu Dhabi, and is looking for someone who’s done this before at scale.

This is a leadership-level engineering role: you’ll oversee structural activities on-site, review technical documentation, and make sure everything stays compliant with UAE regulations, all while coordinating closely with consultants, contractors and the wider project team. It suits an engineer who’s confident making calls under pressure and comfortable owning technical decisions on complex builds.

Deep familiarity with high-rise, mixed-use, residential or hospitality projects in the UAE will serve you well here.

What you’ll be doing

• Supervising structural engineering activities and site operations throughout project execution
• Reviewing structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and other technical documents
• Ensuring compliance with UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority regulations
• Monitoring structural quality, safety and engineering standards on-site
• Coordinating with consultants, contractors and project teams to resolve technical issues
• Providing technical guidance across all phases of construction
• Evaluating structural systems and recommending practical engineering solutions

What you’ll bring

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 10+ years of structural engineering and site supervision experience
• Strong UAE experience, ideally with high-rise, mixed-use, residential or hospitality projects
• Excellent knowledge of UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority requirements
• Experience reviewing structural drawings, submittals, RFIs and technical documents
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations and post-tension systems
• Familiarity with ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 or similar structural analysis software is an advantage
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills

Estimated salary: AED 18,000 – 25,000 per month.
