Accountant

We are looking for a detail-driven Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations for a plastics manufacturing business based in Dubai. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on UAE accounting experience who is comfortable managing the full transaction cycle, from invoicing through to VAT compliance, while keeping the company’s books accurate and audit-ready.

You will be the go-to person for recording sales, purchases, receipts, payments and expenses, and you will work closely with management, banks, suppliers, customers and external auditors to keep financial operations running smoothly. A strong grasp of UAE VAT rules and general accounting best practice is essential, and prior exposure to trading or manufacturing environments would be a real advantage.

What you’ll be doing

• Handling daily accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and expenses
• Keeping accounting records and supporting documentation accurate and up to date
• Preparing invoices, credit notes, debit notes, receipts and payment records
• Carrying out bank, customer and supplier reconciliations
• Tracking receivables and payables and chasing outstanding balances
• Putting together monthly financial and management reports
• Supporting financial statement preparation and year-end closing
• Managing VAT accounting, documentation and return preparation
• Making sure records comply with UAE regulations
• Liaising with auditors, banks, suppliers and customers as needed
• Assisting with budgeting, costing and financial analysis

What we’re looking for

• 2-3 years of hands-on UAE accounting experience (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices
• Experience with AP/AR, invoicing, bank reconciliation and financial reporting
• Comfortable with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Sharp attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good communicator, organized, and able to meet deadlines independently
• Experience in trading or manufacturing companies is a plus
• Familiarity with inventory accounting/costing and UAE Corporate Tax is a bonus
