Job Overview
Green Plus Shipping L.L.C. is recruiting an Accountant to support financial operations in its Dubai shipping and logistics business. The position is suitable for an accounting professional with practical experience maintaining ledgers, processing invoices, reconciling accounts and preparing accurate financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain complete, accurate accounting entries.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other supporting accounting documents.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, following up on balances when necessary.
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts and supplier accounts, investigating any differences.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and period-end closing activities.
- Maintain VAT-related records and support the preparation of UAE VAT returns.
- Track company expenses and coordinate with internal teams regarding payments and outstanding amounts.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2–3 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in shipping, freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT requirements and standard accounting procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Filipino candidates are preferred for this opportunity.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to organize financial records.
