Job Overview
A Dubai-based electronics trading business is seeking an experienced Accountant, preferably with a background in used phones or mobile phone trading. The role covers daily accounting operations as well as transaction and inventory-related records that support the company’s trading activities. The selected candidate will process payable and receivable transactions, manage invoicing and reconciliations, prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing. The accountant will also help with UAE VAT returns, maintain accurate stock-related accounting records and coordinate information for audit requirements. Applicants should have at least four years of relevant accounting experience, and previous used-phone or mobile-phone trading experience is mandatory. Knowledge of Odoo accounting software is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is indicated as the expected qualification. The estimated monthly salary is AED 6,000 to AED 9,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and account reconciliations.
- Record and monitor sales and purchase transactions related to electronics trading.
- Prepare financial statements and reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Track inventory-related accounting entries and stock transactions.
- Support UAE VAT returns, maintain compliance records and coordinate with auditors during internal or external audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least four years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience in used phones or mobile phone trading is mandatory.
- Experience in electronics trading and sales accounting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is indicated as the expected qualification.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and local accounting practices.
- Familiarity with Odoo accounting software is preferred; audit experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of inventory transactions, AP/AR processes and financial reporting.
Employment Details
Full-time position based in Dubai, UAE. Estimated salary: AED 6,000–AED 9,000 per month. Specific experience in used or mobile phone trading is required.
