Mario Bologna is seeking a commercially minded Fashion Buyer to help curate fashion collections for its Dubai business. Key Responsibilities
- Research fashion trends, customer preferences, and market developments to inform buying decisions.
- Select products and collections that reflect the brand’s identity, target customers, and seasonal needs.
- Communicate with suppliers and brands to discuss product availability, pricing, delivery, and terms.
- Support seasonal buying strategies and maintain records of product selections and purchases.
- Review sales performance and stock data to identify product opportunities and slow-moving inventory.
- Coordinate with internal teams on product requirements, stock planning, and collection updates.
- Use sales and market information to help balance commercial targets with customer demand.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Fashion Buyer or in a similar buying role in fashion or luxury retail is required.
- Strong awareness of fashion trends, designer brands, and seasonal collections is important.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical thinking, and product-selection judgment are expected.
- Understanding of sales analysis, stock planning, and inventory management is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite is important.
- Strong English communication skills are required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Applicants currently based in the UAE are preferred.
