Food Cost Controller

Food Cost Controller is a full-time opportunity with La Vita in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. La Vita is hiring a Food Cost Controller to manage food and beverage cost control, inventory, purchasing, recipe costing, stock reconciliation, and profitability across catering activities in Dubai. The role requires strong analytical ability and close coordination with kitchen, purchasing, and operations teams. The successful candidate will be expected to work professionally, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, and contribute to the smooth delivery of the responsibilities assigned to the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor food and beverage costs and analyze cost variances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost, inventory, and financial reports.
• Manage receiving, storage, issuing, FIFO/FEFO procedures, and inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct stock counts and investigate wastage, losses, and discrepancies.
• Review purchase requisitions, LPOs, supplier pricing, and purchasing activities.
• Perform recipe costing, yield testing, portion analysis, and menu costing.
• Work with kitchen and operations teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain records across POS, inventory, and ERP systems.
• Assist with audits and ensure established cost-control procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Two to five years of F&B cost-control experience.
• Catering or large-scale F&B experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and stock reconciliation.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
• UAE or Dubai catering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of profitability analysis, stock auditing, menu costing, purchasing controls, and ERP/POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate cost variances.
