Job Overview
Al Taresh Group is looking for a General Accountant to support its finance activities in Dubai. The role is appropriate for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and one to two years of accounting experience in the UAE. The estimated salary is AED 4,500–6,500 per month. The selected candidate should be methodical, accurate, and able to keep financial information organized while meeting routine reporting deadlines.
The position covers daily bookkeeping and accounting operations, financial documentation, bank reconciliations, and support for UAE VAT preparation and filing. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is important, along with a practical understanding of UAE accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting entries.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, schedules, and supporting documents.
- Assist with VAT preparation and filing in line with applicable UAE requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate differences in account balances.
- Review invoices, payments, receipts, and expense records for completeness.
- Help with month-end closing activities and routine financial reporting.
- Maintain organized files and assist with other accounting tasks when required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- One to two years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT procedures, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
