Job Overview
Long Island Restaurant in Downtown Dubai is recruiting three Waiter/Waitress team members to provide attentive service and help guests enjoy a smooth dining experience. This full-time position is suited to candidates with at least two years of hospitality experience, including previous UAE experience. The listed monthly salary is AED 3,000–4,000. Immediate joiners are preferred.
The successful candidates should be friendly, professional, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant. The role involves handling orders and payments, maintaining the dining area, supporting guests with menu choices, and coordinating with kitchen and service colleagues. Basic familiarity with POS systems and KNET machines, food allergies, food knowledge, and delivery-platform orders is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, explain menu choices where needed, and provide courteous table service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure they reach the kitchen promptly.
- Serve orders efficiently and check that guest requests are handled appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area.
- Process payments and use POS systems or KNET machines as required.
- Coordinate with kitchen colleagues and other servers during busy periods.
- Handle delivery-platform orders and communicate order details clearly.
- Pay attention to food allergy information and direct questions to the appropriate team member.
Requirements and Skills
- At least two years of hospitality experience.
- Previous UAE hospitality experience is mandatory.
- Friendly communication and a positive, service-focused attitude.
- Ability to stay organized and professional under pressure.
- Basic POS and KNET machine knowledge.
- General food knowledge and awareness of food allergies and delivery orders.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
