General Manager

A well-established Grade-A construction contractor in Dubai is on the hunt for a seasoned General Manager to steer its construction operations and push major projects across the finish line. This is a senior leadership seat for someone who’s spent the last decade-plus running large construction portfolios in the UAE and knows how to balance commercial performance with on-the-ground delivery.

You’ll be the person ultimately accountable for how projects move from plan to completion — on schedule, within budget, and squarely within UAE regulatory requirements. That means owning everything from project execution and financial performance to strategic growth and the relationships that keep clients, consultants, and authorities on your side.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading construction operations, the project portfolio, and business growth initiatives
• Making sure projects land safely, on time, on budget, and to quality standards
• Overseeing planning, budgeting, procurement, manpower, risk, and recovery strategies
• Managing Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams toward shared goals
• Driving cost control, productivity gains, value engineering, and project profitability
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, suppliers, and government bodies
• Keeping projects compliant with UAE regulations, ISO standards, QA/QC and HSE policies
• Overseeing permits, NOCs, inspections, authority approvals, and completion certificates

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 10–15+ years of UAE construction operations or project management experience
• A track record of leadership with a main construction contractor
• Experience delivering commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects
• Strong command of budgeting, procurement, contracts, cost control, QA/QC, and HSE practices
• Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, and DEWA procedures, plus Dubai Civil Defense regulations
• A Master’s degree, PMP certification, or authority accreditation is a plus
