Parampara Restaurant, an exciting new affordable Indian family dining concept launching in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen from the ground up. This is a rare pre-opening opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about authentic Indian cuisine and has the leadership skills to build and run a high-performing kitchen team.
The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise across North Indian, South Indian, and Kerala cuisine, paired with strong operational abilities in food costing, inventory management, and maintaining consistent quality and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the kitchen and lead all food preparation, cooking, and plating to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Develop and refine menus covering North Indian, South Indian, and Kerala cuisine in line with the restaurant’s concept and target audience
- Supervise, motivate, and manage kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Control food costs, manage inventory levels, minimize wastage, and maintain efficient kitchen supply usage
- Uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance at all times
- Support the pre-opening setup of the kitchen including equipment testing, team training, and menu trials
- Monitor kitchen performance and make ongoing improvements to consistency, speed, and quality
Requirements
- Proven UAE restaurant experience — mandatory
- Strong hands-on mastery of Indian cuisine across North Indian, South Indian, and Kerala styles
- Demonstrated experience in kitchen management, food costing, inventory control, and team supervision
- Experience in a pre-opening environment is a significant advantage
- Ability to maintain consistent quality and hygiene under pressure; willing to join at the earliest
Salary: AED 8,000–12,000/month (Estimated)
