Job Overview
Leverage General Contracting L.L.C is hiring an HSE Officer for construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining health, safety and environmental standards, meeting UAE requirements and promoting safe work practices. The officer will inspect sites, assess risks, deliver safety briefings, investigate incidents and maintain HSE records. Applicants need a NEBOSH International General Certificate and at least two years of UAE construction-sector experience. The estimated salary is AED 7,000–10,500 per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor HSE policies, procedures, UAE legal requirements and client standards, including ADOSH-SF Version 4.0.
- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards and complete risk assessments.
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions and safety-awareness training.
- Investigate accidents and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports and statutory records; monitor PPE and safe work practices.
- Coordinate emergency drills and preparedness, and support HSE audits through closure of findings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
- Have at least 2 years of HSE experience in the UAE construction sector.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or recognised 3-year diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Have ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or Awareness Training; IRCA approval is preferred.
- Be registered with Quadrat (OSHAD) or have completed ADVETI training.
- Know ADOSH-SF Version 4.0 and UAE HSE requirements.
- Have good reporting, communication, observation and incident-investigation skills, plus Microsoft Office proficiency.
Skills and Employment Details
Important knowledge areas include construction safety, UAE HSE regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, audits, NEBOSH standards and ISO 45001. The officer should be able to deliver training, solve safety issues and work independently with site teams.
