Job Overview
Intertec Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Technical Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure services in Dubai. The role covers networks, Windows and Linux administration, virtualisation, storage, backup, monitoring, incident management, disaster recovery, and service governance. It calls for a senior technical leader who can balance operational reliability with lifecycle planning, capacity management, and continuous improvement. The manager will help keep critical systems secure and available, lead responses to major incidents, and ensure infrastructure services meet agreed performance and recovery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee enterprise networking, Windows and Linux administration, Active Directory, and email infrastructure operations.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle planning, capacity, performance optimisation, technology refreshes, and platform maintenance.
- Lead major incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management, and follow-up actions to prevent repeat failures.
- Plan and coordinate disaster-recovery exercises, business-continuity activities, and related compliance initiatives.
- Guide technical teams, monitor service-level agreements and key performance indicators, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Oversee platforms and services involving VMware, data centres, hyperconverged infrastructure, storage, backup, patching, and monitoring tools.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Have 20+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including five to seven years in a senior technical leadership role.
- Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical background.
- Understand enterprise infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup, Windows, Linux, networking, and Active Directory.
- Have proven experience with ITIL-based service delivery, SLA management, and major incident handling.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, customer communication, and problem-solving skills.
- GCC or UAE enterprise experience is an advantage.
